A Family Passion
For Over 20 Years

Central Wood Recyclers is a family-owned and operated business that has been in the wood recycling industry for 20 years. Started in 2003 by Noel Richmond with one hogger and 2 staff hogging wood waste on skid sites. In the following years, Central Wood Recyclers expanded into the forest to farm conversions, converting over 17,000 hectares of forest into green rolling paddocks.

In 2019 Noel sold Central Wood Recyclers to his son Rene Richmond. This change in ownership saw a fresh outlook on the operations and introduced innovative ideas into the company. With Rene’s passion for the industry Central Wood Recyclers has grown into the largest supplier of Biomass in the New Zealand
